A STORY FROM WALES.(shared) This is ridiculous. CAN BUY BOOZE IN WALES BUT NOT BABY MILK... WAKE UP PEOPLE So this morning I went to the supermarket to do my weekly shop and one thing on my list was baby milk powder. The baby aisle it is normally down was barriered off so I looked everywhere for where it could have been moved to... no sight. Left it to the end of the shop and went back. I know it’s normally right at the end of the aisle so I peeked and there it was. I ended up having an argument with the store manager and two security guards who insisted that I could not purchase as it was not an essential item. Not one person came to my defence. I have a 6 month old baby - it is essential to her! I told them that by denying people the purchase of this, they are discriminating against every woman who cannot / doesn’t breastfeed, and denying babies something they NEED to survive And yet alcohol which no NEEDS to survive had three aisles open!
I was told as I was escorted out that they would be seeking further advise -.-
