Hello All - I posted this on Simon's question page, but I thought I would put it here too as it is a bit of activism. I would dearly like to hear what the people on KBF think: My main concern is the compulsory wearing of masks and face coverings in shops, on public transport and schools. I want this mandate to be got rid of, why? We are told that wearing a mask helps stop transmission. Well here's a little story of my experience this weekend in London, and to me the wearing of masks is having the absolute opposite affect of stopping the transmission which the Government is so paranoid about. I was at in a cafe in Euston station having my lunch. Hoards of mask wearing public streamed off the train and into the cafe. What was the first thing they did? Took off their virus infected mask that they had been breathing into for hours on the train, and put it straight on to the table. So these people are so worried about passing the virus on, that they are happy to leave particles of it on the tables for others to touch afterwards after they have left. I saw the same thing the whole time I was in London. People messing around with their masks constantly and then going around touching things willy nilly. Yet I wasn't allowed to go into M&S in Euston and use my £10 note which had been lying in my purse for days to buy a salad, because it was dirty and possibly infected with Covid. As for masks being compulsory in some schools. Can you imagine the kids playing with them and throwing them about? And that's going to stop the transmission?? The whole thing is an absolute farce! I welcome other people's comments. Personally, I think we need to press the Government hard on this.
