WOT, NO protests?!?!
The short answer is: No protests...
The long answer is: YES, PROTESTS!!
From what I've heard, there have been some very heartening events worldwide.
We could start off with INDIA having a total of 79 (yes, only seventy nine!!) cv 'cases', out of a population of 1,398,606,190+ ...that's over a billion people.
We could also give our respect to the President of TANZANIA, for being a decent human being and not smearing himself in the bs that is the cvneedlestuff, and for not having anything to do with that subject.
Other highlights:
In VIENNA (Wien) police removed their helmets recently and joined anti-lockdown protesters on a march through the city; 50,000 cafe and restaurant owners in ITALY went against government 'guidelines' in January and re-opened their places for business, with Police being escorted from some premises by customers; similarly 25,000 venues in POLAND re-opened for business last month. On February 1st 2021 almost all of ITALY will be down to tier 1 (the lowest 'restriction'). There have been successful protests in DENMARK recently. On 30th January 2021 an unspecified number of UK businesses re-started, as part of 'The Great Re-opening'. The Scottish government have announced a phased return for schools, to begin from 22nd February.
There are still no lockdowns in SWEDEN or BELARUS. Other countries avoiding lockdowns successfully are TAIWAN, JAPAN and TAJIKISTAN. One of the few countries in the world with no reported 'cases' of the disease is TURKMENISTAN. One of the worst-hit nations during the early stages of disease outbreak was SOUTH KOREA, but it has remained one of the few that has managed without a lockdown.
Other countries that said (in August 2020) they had no cv 'cases' include: THE COOK ISLANDS, THE FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA, KIRIBATI, THE MARSHALL ISLANDS, NAURU, NIUE, NORTH KOREA, PALAU, SAMOA, THE SOLOMON ISLANDS, TONGA, TUVALU, VANUATU. Maybe those countries still haven't had any 'cases'.
Tapnewswire has reported that NONE OF THE COUNTRIES WITH NO LOCKDOWN HAVE SUFFERED THE CATASTROPHE WE WERE TOLD LOCKDOWNS WOULD AVOID. NONE.
FREEDOM AIRWAY initiates its first maskless flight this month, to 'the land of the free' (FLORIDA). In March there will be a flight to DUBLIN, to celebrate St Patrick's Day, and a further flight is planned, to BRAZIL, in April. These trips will help to employ locked down flight crews and other staff, and to utilise grounded planes that are otherwise costing the airlines money.
For those who like to travel through the ether without actually physically going anywhere... SORUK (Save Our Rights UK) started an alternative (to farcebook, twutter, etc.) social media platform in January, called AUTARKI (pronounced 'Or-tar-key') that doesn't feed your personal data to advertising companies to flog you things you probably don't need anyway.
Physical protesting, which is of course one of our rights as humans, seems to be taking a back seat in the UK at the moment... or does it?! ;)

NEWS from November : In the UK, protests are exempt in ALL TIERS! This means that people are free to gather to protest - subject to risk assessments being in place. This was decreed on 30th November. Still though, back in November further restrictions were assumed that make people's democratic right to protest even more constrained. Thus, all organisations will no longer be publicised on this page, as at least in theory, there are no organisations...
COMMUNITIES IN MANY TOWNS AND CITIES ACROSS THE UK AND EUROPE WILL BE HOLDING PUBLIC GATHERINGS INTO THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. Look out for one near you!
