KEEP BRITAIN FREE
There you are Laurence! I wondered where you had got to on your travels. The T shirt came. Yay! Hope you had a great holiday. I've missed you!
Hello My friend,
I have missed you too.
Back where I belong on the KBF forum.
Have a good one Amigo.
Laurence - I spent the night in St Anne's. I hardly recognised the owner when he came to the front door, as I could only see his eyes! Not only did he have a mask on but a visor on top of that. You can't be too careful. 'Corony' is very selective where he lurks in the hotel. He loves to mooch around in the hallway and the lounge, but fortunately he doesn't like the dining room for some reason. That meant he left me alone to eat my bacon and egg. 😂 Spent the whole 2 days free! Love the picture by the way.
It really is great to get away at the moment - glad you had a good time enjoying freedom.
I could not believe Anglesey - I never wore a mask once and was never told to.
They seem not to do Covid where I was - it was heaven.
I really feel the need to move back up North Again in my future years.
Lytham and St Annes could be a good place and easy for me to get to Manchester.
And far away from the Southern Covid Bed Wetters that I have to share this space with.
Have a great Day and week my friend.
Laurence of Lytham.
Unfortunately Anglesey is a very different place this morning as the face mask mandate comes into force in Wales today - not had a good reception from my local shops this morning, think small town life is about to get very difficult.
Wren - It was good while it lasted!
It was. This is gutting. All I can hope for is that in a month or two, people here will be less hostile. I just cannot bring myself to wear one - it is wrong (not to wear one, but to make others). There is nothing the government cannot get away with at the moment, and there is no reason to believe they will relinquish that power.
Wren, check out the exemptions and get a card.
No, none of us should have to wear a 'tag' that says we are not stupid but the mask zealots can't challenge you about why you're exempt (although they will) because it's discriminating against a disability.
If you haven't already, check out Toby Young's Lockdown Skeptics newsletters on the website. He has a regular feature on mask exemptions.
Funny, they weren't hostile yesterday, but they are today. That's what gets me about the whole thing. I'm lucky where I live. They were never hostile before or after. As Sheila said, you must do what you think is best for you and your baby. ❤️
@Grumpy Cat Wow - I cannot belive this.
As I try not to listen to any news.
I must have picked the right week without realising.
Anyway never mind, today is my birthday and I will be going to the beach when I have finished work.
It is beautiful day and hope it is where you are.
My biggest regret is I am no longer 46 - the number of the great Valentino.
See you in a bit.
Thank you for the advice, I am very obviously pregnant so most likely that will be interpreted as my "disability" - but I do not want to claim an exemption, as such (although I suppose I might if I were actually arrested...). No one should HAVE to do this, and we shouldn't have to lie to get out of it, so, as best I can, I won't.
Hello Wren, I agree entirely, no one should have to play along with this utter farce.
As you're pregnant, that's the only thing that really matters, you and baby and I wish you both well.
Sheila - thank you very much for your lovely words of support. I am writing to my MP, I'm sure it's utterly pointless, but I might feel better after...
Grumpy Cat - thank you for your kind words
