Hey
I am 100% behind this cause, it is currently the biggest? (what I can find anyway) movement to protect even the most basic of human rights.
In the resources sections, "flyers for business":
and
Should really NOT use the word 'muzzle'. Instead, just the word mask would be a whole lot better. Here is my reasoning:
This movement is going to fail if it becomes us (non-maskies) vs them (maskies). It needs to represent freedom of choice and openness. If someone is scared and feels they would be safer in a face mask, they should NOT feel judged. It is completely cool and OK. Just as long as you are not judging me for NOT wearing one. The word muzzle will not achieve this.
Pro-freedom shop keepers would want business from people wearing a face mask and those that do not. Having flyers like that with the word muzzle suggests that you are an idiot for wearing a mask. The mask wearer will then give their money to someone else. This is not a desired outcome for anyone doing business who is not a complete idiot.
My personal belief is that yes, the mask is a muzzle, but come on... we need to be inclusive not divisive. We are not a majority. We will lose.
Absolutely right Rich, the term muzzle is derogatory, too strong even if it is true...it is better to be inclusive and help people to regain their confidence in breathing and thinking again freely by themselves.
Taking a stand against all these corrupted Governments that want to take away the actual air from us.
This is happening in so many countries that I know : Italy, Spain, Uk.
Rich - Well said. Personally I don't feel that there is an 'us' and 'them' with regards the general public. I posted this to somebody else a few minutes ago who had been verbally abused for taking a stand - 'There are a lot of very frightened people out there, my family included, so I don't judge. Great fear brings out the survival instinct, and people (or animals) will attack you if they see you as a threat. They feel very safe behind their social distancing and masks, and to walk away from that would be very scary for them.' I do think there is an 'us and 'them' as regards who is pulling the strings behind all this though. Boris and the others are just front men for the advisers, people in dark suits and those that are trying to get any dissenting voices banned. We know who they are. I welcome any comments as always.
