I have been wondering for many years now what the objective of a protest or demonstration is.
Is it to spread the word amongst the masses? From what I can tell and also from my experiences with propaganda and statistics, most people have already made their mind up which ‘side’ they are on prior to any event taking place. Therefore all it serves to do is to entrench these divides even further.
Perhaps it is a show of numbers to the government to ensure they receive ‘our’ message. I have two issues with this:
1) It only serves to empower said government that they are the rulers and we are the subjects asking, demanding, whatever you wish to call it, for them to change their approach or policy otherwise we will get very angry with them!
2) It allows the opposing views of such demonstration/protests to find any chink to ridicule or further alienate the true purpose.
I believe that there is another way and perhaps the only way to change this situation. There are too many groups and sub-groups and too many competing agendas for us to ever unite properly and to find one coherent method and objective to finally end this.
I will be following this point up at the picnic ’get together’ that ‘Pete’ is putting together within the W.Mids group if anyone is interested to find out more or just interested to have a nice day out near Ledbury.
Would love to hear any thoughts regarding the above.

I agree with your points, thank you for sharing.
I'd like to believe, perhaps naively, that protests might seem silly to some, but they are important, if attended in big numbers.
They give the message of a strong resilience to those behind the covin crap. We are being watched, closely. We are being monitored, for them to see how far they can lead us.
So protests are a shout out to the Deep State and those who fuel this crap, that actually, ants are not so stupid, they can be quite bright and they can see through this nonsense and yes, they will resist.
Hopefully protest on Trafalgar Sq on 29 Aug will be attended in plenty, as then, there is a bigger chance for it not to be mocked but taken seriously by the doubters. Its all about numbers.
Ok, maybe I didn’t put my points across too succinctly. I believe they have their place but I certainly do not believe they will change anything, unless, as I pointed out to someone that mentioned that Iraq war protest, which was very well attended; it didn’t change a single thing but imagine if all those people marched into the Houses of Parliament and pulled these puppets out and told them to clear off. What then?
I think protests raise awareness and promote a particular cause but like you I think they're useless in the current situation. The government have moved the goal post and we need a new way to redress injustice. The old methods: petitions, protests, writing to MPs etc, will simply be ignored. I agree with Boubles above that great numbers could influence the outcome, but that means waking up the majority. If where I live is anything to go by, and it's a pretty average street in a pretty average city, the vast majority are fully immersed in this lie.
I spoke to young student girl today who was wearing a mask. I told her I believe the pandemic is fake. She said she thinks I might be right but she is doing what the government tells her because she thinks it's the right thing to do. Where do you go with that?
‘We’ shouldn’t engage at all. Be the change and those that are ready will follow. If we engage we‘re falling right into one of their ‘psychological’ traps. (aka Mindspace)
@C.R.M I agree that non-compliance is the way forward but promoting our non-compliance can't be a bad thing, surely.
Explain how bad it is for people's health? Both mental and physical and the consequences of letting it go unchecked. Explain it needs to be nipped in the bud - maybe one has to be 'cruel' in the present to be kind in the long term?
Or were you being rhetorical? I do share your frustrations, really I do.
I was being rhetorical. I was astounded that she thought she was being lied to but went along with it anyway. It's like the majority don't care and are happy to go along with any farce the goverment throws at them.
A referral to Vernon Coleman's videos on YT? He comes across as very sane - no 'loony theories' - just a combination of thorough research peppered with a great sense of humour.
Taking to the streets once will obviously achieve nothing, however, as it has been proven over the years, a large enough sustained protests can and in fact will change the course of any government.
Recent examples the BBC doesn't want you know about:
- Serbia - government abandoned lockdown tactics
- Poland - health minister has resigned
IMHO, in this situation protests helps individuals realise that their way of thinking is in fact shared but many many more hence empowering resistance to tyranny. If you look at Germany various demographics were out protesting, not only 'the usual suspects'. The government wants people divided, frightened and isolated thus easy to control.
Check this man out, he started one man protest outside Downing Street, legend.
Heya. My response to Grumpy below will work as a reply to yourself too Veritas I hope (?)
C.R.M - I have had a look at the comments and this is my view. You need both non-compliance and protest on a large scale for something to work. Look at the Poll Tax for instance. 'On the 31st of March 1990, London was the scene of one of the worst riots seen in modern British history as more than 200,000 protesters descended on the capital.' People rallied nationwide and didn't comply, even though they were threatened with jail. And guess what, the Government capitulated. Unfortunately, with the Coronavirus farce there just aren't enough of the general public on board. But what can we do but protest, just sit at home and watch telly???
Hey Grumpy
Poll Tax is a great example but one that they have learned from. This topic helps me to elucidate further. Poll Tax was a one item agenda that polarised the population into two camps. The change was good although it didn’t change the root cause of the issue, only diluted and shifted it. This C-19 topic has us so fragmented into so many sub- topics and groups there is not one coherent objective. So we march, for what? Masks, lockdowns, government over-reach, lies about a virus etc etc etc then people add 5G and UN agenda 2030.
Maybe my question to everyone should be - what do we want from all this? What’s the clear one line objective? Maybe along those lines a protest will work but I still believe all we will get is more of the same but diluted and shifted to appease our current uneasiness.
This, for me, is a watershed moment in modern history. If we don’t get this right and soon, the control grid will be complete.
Sorry for the long winded reply!! 😆
@C.R.M Well, I know what I want, I want to be left alone and be in charge of my own life, be able to make my own decisions and yes be responsible for ALL consequences of decisions taken. Secondly free speech, if it is 5G of UN 2030 doesn't matter, I don't have to agree, but again everyone should have the right to express their views.
I can only say that mass civil disobedience would work much better than any protest, however as you said we're too fragmented, so should I assume that we're fu$%ed?
@C.R.M I would be very interested to hear about what you have in mind - you clearly do have something in mind! But perhaps it is something you don't want to share on an open (and PoB obsreved) forum. Happy to provide private email if you like?
imo what we need is a rash of people who get on board with stating their law as a man or woman, by way of notices to another man or woman, notices which, if un-remedied, they are willing to press to claim in open court.....
mankind, acting as Agents of the State and working within Government have forgotten they are here to serve man and woman, they have stepped, via black magic legalese (and our silent compliance), into the role of Dictator, with the people as their slaves who must obey. This is a pile of crap. But only each individual standing as a man or woman and stating their law via notices to the man: going by the name of Boris Johnson, can change this state of affairs.
Not enough of mankind have woken up yet to their implied enslavement, they answer, way too readily, yes when asked the Question:
are you Joe Bloggs?
Or, are you a Citizen of Great Britain?
All it will take is a few public notices in the Media addressed to the man, Matt Hancock or the man, Boris Johnson and things could change quite rapidly. Of course the issue then would be finding a newspaper independent enough that would be willing to put that Notice up. As most, if not all of them, are Soros owned etc ....so we might come unstuck there. It may have to go on a variety of platforms in order for it to be very clearly communicated to BoJo that he has been given notice. This then works in much the same way that they tell us all the stuff they are going to do to us via the mainstream media garbage, and our silence equals compliance and consent.
100% agree with the sentiment of getting a very large contingent onto the same song sheet
Quick one to all that has added to the discourse - I really appreciate to hear everyone’s thoughts and perspectives. It’s so very important. Thanks
