I've noticed this stupid propaganda everywhere with pictures of people on ventilators asking us to 'look him/her in the eyes and say you don't bend rules' which are designed to guilt trip innocent people into feeling evil for fulfilling their most basic human needs of social interaction and leaving their own home.
I think it'd be great to make our own version regarding the devastating impact of lockdown and restrictions: mental health issues, suicides, livelihoods lost, people made redundant and homeless- children in poverty without enough food because the parents have lost their jobs through the lockdowns.
Things like 'look her in the eyes and tell her why her son committed suicide' or 'look him in the eyes and tell him why his family are now homeless and hungry after his mum and dad lost their jobs and were evicted' or 'look her in the eyes and tell her the destruction of the business she worked for 40 years on her bankruptcy preventing her retirement as a result was worth it' (just examples).
Obviously we would have to get photos to use somehow, which might be difficult. But we need to fight back against this hard. The devastation to people's lives caused by these restrictions cannot be ignored anymore, these people's lives are just as important as the lives lost to the virus and can't be swept under the carpet of lies anymore.
I'm furious at this point, if they don't lift this lockdown in March, I'll storm parliament myself like they did the White House in America.
Not like I've got much left to loose really, I've been signed off sick from work as I'm too unwell mentally (as a direct result of social isolation) so now I'm worried I won't even have a job after March, that they won't extend my contract because they think I'm a headcase just for having a normal reaction to being cut off from other human beings for extended periods of time. Working from home is a stupid concept- it's impractical, unproductive, devastating to workers' mental health and useless to the clients I'm supposed to work with but can't.
Would anyone be on-board to make something like this?
This has also been driving me mad, love the pictures above, all so true.
