Steve, we need 'red moments'. more and more people seem to be expecting an aggressive uprising against this tyranny. For the perps to say that baby food is unnecessary is evil enough, for the staff in a shop to blindly follow such evil is totally unbelievable!

I am hoping that baby food was included in some evildoer's list in error and a lot of publicity in local media, even in msm, will reverse it. certainly, the shop needs to be avoided by as many customers as possible in the future,

You're absolutely right to be fuming! Even though I always made my own I really don't see how ready-made baby food can be deemed 'non-essential'. There must be some back up you can get -just some quick ideas: is it worth trying CAB, Liberty, a local paedatrician/GP etc? Or get in touch with local childcare/pre-school etc & fight this together? This can't be a 'law', only 'guidance' surely? In which case it shouldn't be too difficult to set them right -Save the Children might help too!

I have had one of those 'kick in the teeth' moments that may end up getting me arrested eventually. I am so mad that I need to spout off so apologies to anyone reading this.

I have read a note from a person who was in one of our bigger supermarkets, with all the non-essential aisles tapped off. They tried looking for baby food (SMA etc). Saw it in one of the restricted Aisle, asked the manager to get it. Was told that it was NON ESSENTIAL, food for a baby is apparently non essential. The person was escorted out of the shop by the manager and two security guards for trying to feed the baby! ANGRY OR WHAT, maybe it's me, tell me if so.

I checked this out to see if it was the shop or government deciding what was essential. - MORE ANGER. The Welsh Government have decreed that baby food is non essential items! WTF!!

My step son (now 20 years old with his own young family) has a baby. At the moment they are ok for such things but if he needs food for the baby, he will have food for the baby. We will go out and we WILL get food for the baby, one way or another. I may end up inside because of it but I am willing to do the time with absolute pleasure but that baby WILL have food.

Malign blackmail is being used to achieve acts and words that a number of decent police would refuse to do - but they have mortgages, rent, bills. They are not doing anything different than most of the countries globally. They are just in a different stage. I see peaceful people protest, speak out because their lives are getting destroyed by a virus that can be treated and is not as deadly as one is led is to believe. Theyve said openingly Covid is an opportunity!! i voted for Boris and I don’t know what far right means. I do know I Voted Conservative and labour is agreeing with everything so god knows if it would have made any difference at the polls.

i don’t understand law enforcement, surely their families living here cant be Happy with these rules. They see law enforcement going out without masks, have their families become ill? They live within the community or do they? Do you recognise the police in your small villages. are any of them speaking out. Most of you in Wales will have gone to school with a lot of them Or members of their families.

It is hard to find words to properly describe the weak, utterly irresponsible and destructive individuals in the Welsh 'government' who are complicit in the war against the UK people. Surely bribery to cause harm to people and property is criminal??? No 'government', either central or local, is above the Law.

If a person pays another person money to cause ill-health, physical, psychological and mental, to destroy their income and/or business, to curtail their freedom to go where they wish, and to create threat, mental and emotional -they would be arrested and prosecuted. Will the legal sector in Wales put their collective heads together???

In short, the Welsh government are ruining business all across the country. Incidentally megacorps like amazon are free to compete with those local businesses unhindered (hard to think which would be worse, govrnment thugs attacking the internet and shops, or just utterly decimating local retail). The businesses will appreciate shoppers who break these stupid rules and buy forbidden items anyway. I suspect that also, while it might technically be a crime on the shop's part to seel such things, it probably isn't a crime for customers to buy them. If I were near enough the Wlesh border to cross it I'd go to the dark side of that new iron curtain and follow the example below:

Reach past the stupid barriers, pick up the prohibited item desired, walk to the checkout, and if they tried to stop me I'd put down cash of the item's exact value and walk straight out (maybe with Van Morrison's "Born to be Free" blaring from a speaker in a pocket). A shop having this "done" to them may put up token disagreement for the purpose of looking law abiding, but so long as they get the cash they'll be secretly glad afterwards, no sensible business is going to call the cops and say "we just had a guy in doing business with us which you don't allow, come by and compound our problems".

We can only hope, I’m missing the spontaneity of life!

It is not only the Welsh Ministers floundering - the entire coven of 'ministers' stand accused of the biggest flounder ever seen in history! We can expect more as revealing and shameful truths keep popping up. How much longer can they bluster in denial ?
