Hello lovely people.
A quick question really, can hospitals refuse elective surgery if you decline a Covid test?

NO!! Look at article 6 of the 2005 UNESCO bioethics human rights statement. This HAS to be integrated into the laws of member countries, of which UK is a full member. Therefore it is law here in the UK.

Sorry, dont know what happened to the text. Here it is again. They are not allowed to refuse treatment because you do not consent to this test. If they do, they breach your human rights (Articles 6, 8 and 9). Dont listen to the rubbish they spout. I have had heart procedures recently and insisted on my rights and was treated anyway, without a test, vaccine or any other covid restriction.
@stevehabberley - Thank you very much for that. And guess what, I didn't have chance to talk to my consultant as my appointment has been cancelled now for the 3rd time in a row! Next one is in mid-October, and again only by telephone. Not life threatening at the moment, but could end up being at this rate! I see the hospitals have been told to clear their beds ready for the next wave of covid patients. A covid only NHS at the moment and 'stuff everybody else'. Please if you have nay more information I would be glad of it. Hope you are recovering well from your procedures. ❤️
Dr. Mike Yearden, (an expert on viruses) on James Delingpole, has assured us there is no second wave.
You really need to listen to this broadcast (you tube)if you are affected by these unlawful decisions.
Best regards to all of you.
Thanks for the info. I will have a look
Viktoria Cripps - A very good question, but very difficult to find an answer to this. All you get on the web is 'when you come into hospital for treatment we will give you a test'. It doesn't say anywhere what will happen if you refuse to have one. I am in the same boat. One big reason do I not want to be tested - If I die after testing positive during my operation, my stay in hospital or 28 days after I was discharged, I will become a Covid statistic on the death certificate. It doesn't matter what you die of! That's the Government scam! I will put this most strongly to my consultant when I speak to him on the phone at the end of the month. I still can't get to see him face to face. Do let me know how you get on Viktoria.
Thanks for your reply. Good luck with your appointment.
