I saw this video on YouTube today. It typifies everything that has been going on in the past 4 months. Gareth Icke posted it on his Dad's website, David Icke.com - You will find the video if you click on the article: 'And the world went slowly, no, QUICKLY, like at break-neck speed'
You can also find the video on YouTube if you copy and paste: Mad World Covid 19

If you haven't seen this video already, I would dearly love you to take a look and tell me what you think. I have put it under the heading of 'Inspiration' as it's such a beautiful song, but the video is quite sad.
Anybody who has trouble finding it, please let me know. My good wishes to you all.
TheFreeWizard - You are correct, it's 1980. I was banging my head to them in rock clubs from 1976 onwards. Those times were mega. Not just the music, but the comedy. Those too young to remember have missed a really special era.
Hi Grumpy Cat,
I remember this classic, must have been around 1980ish cos I had not long started in my new senior school (year 4 back then but they call it year 10 now). My mates and I were laughing at the video; music vids were something quite new back then of course - and yes, it does seem appropriate for the KungFlu Tyranny we are under.
Anyway, I was always into Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy etc etc. So I am probably a little younger than your good self but not by much methinks.
TheFreeWizard - I think I am a lot older than you. This is one from the 70's when I was young and carefree! Just as relevant now though. Copy and past in YouTube: Judas Priest - Breaking The Law (Official Music Video)
Lyrics: There I was completely wasted, out of work and down All inside it's so frustrating as I drift from town to town Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die So I might as well begin to put some action in my life Breaking the law, breaking the law Breaking the law, breaking the law... So much for the golden future I can't even start I've had every promise broken, there's anger in my heart You don't know what it's like, you don't have a clue If you did you'd find yourselves doing the same thing too Breaking the law, breaking the law Breaking the law, breaking the law...
Love from Grumpy Cat (The Maskless One) who is Breaking the law, breaking the law! 😉
TheFreeWizard - Hi, I'm sat listening to this having my morning coffee. I haven't heard the song before. Very powerful. Thanks for posting it. 💕
Hi Grumpy Cat,
Yes, I agree. This is a great song and very appropriate. Takes me back to the carefree days of my teens. I doubt very much that Tears for Fears could have known how prophetic it would become.
Another song that gives me inspiration is Paulo Nutini's Iron Skies. I particularly like the use of Charlie Chaplin's speech from The Great Dictator (1940). This interlude in the song is very powerful and for me it beautifully encapsulates the tyranny we are being subjected to at present. I have pasted it below, but please do listen on Youtube etc.
“To those who can hear me, I say, do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress.
“The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
“Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men! Machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men!
“You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.
“Let us use that power. Let us all unite!”
