Another thing which may help is the Tibetan practice of "Tonglen."In its most basic form you breathe in an unwanted feeling, such as pain, anger, frustration. Then you "send" out love, clarity, calmness...basically the opposite of the unwanted feeling. You can initially do it for yourself then extend it to all others who are feeling the same, with the wish that everyone be free of suffering.It goes against the usual grain of trying to avoid difficult feelings.

Anything that keeps our spirits/consciousness up and out of the 'plan' helps us move forward alongside disregarding the new rules and regulations as far as we are able.
