Yep it really is, glad you appreciated it Maria. He always does really insightful, well-made and referenced stuff but I saw this last night and was blown away, absolutely on the money. Stay strong, Dx
Dashwood - I too was 'blown away'. I don't keep many videos, but this is one for the library. At the very beginning in February/March I knew something was wrong. Same with Iraq and the WMD. You don't even need facts and figures, something in your gut tells you that you are being lied to. Thank you so much for posting.
So glad you liked it GC and defo one to be revisited regularly; an eternal message that has never been more pertinent than it is today. I think many of us now realise that our political system is broken, the course is set - actual science, proportionality etc, be damned - and what we're being subjected to is clearly not being done because our 'safety' is of any concern. I believe that this will now only end when we collectively say 'no more!'. We've grown up in a system where we're told if we want change it can ONLY come from the top down, so we petition, vote, appeal etc to TPTB. So, many of us have forgotten that they're here to serve US and it's US that ultimately hold the power in this dynamic, this little video was a beautiful reminder of that. Have a great Christmas and stay strong, Dx
Wow, brilliant video thanks. It explains exactly what I have been grappling with. My conscience is so against the governance I am willing to become a dissident and as a normal law abiding citizen I was struggling to reconcile this. Deep stuff.
Glad you appreciated it. The vast majority of us are law abiding citizens because on the whole those laws are proportionate and we see how they benefit society, we're bound together by those shared agreements. However, to quote Martin Luther King, "One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws" and I think we may be at that point. Have a great Christmas and keep strong, Dx
@Dashwood I think the question we, and hopefully Simon too, right now need to be asking is about how to ensure disobedience is effective. The media won't cover anything about the real aims and actions at protests, so disobedience focused on getting the message out isn't useful. Disobedience needs to be focused on undermining the enforcement of unjust diktats, I hope Simon is thinking of something like this.
@Dashwood Thanks Dashwood...got my KBF t-shirt and leaflets and feel comfortable now with this, much more comfortable than I felt complying and going along with it all. The video is right, we are all waiting for others to be the braver ones.
Great video.

“...what is needed... are individual dissidents who act as the motivating examples for the larger acts of civil disobedience...”
This is our most basic duty, every time we leave the house.
