One of the things that people can do is start pestering your local council.
A) Check to see what committee meetings are coming up and put yourself on the agenda- ask questions and speak.
B) Check when there is a full council meeting and put yourself on the agenda and speak.
This is imperative because there could be a chance that others join you in the fight. Speak to the retailers in your area to see how they feel and get them to speak at the committee meetings and full council.
C) Think about becoming a borough councillor in next year's elections.
If you push the agenda locally there is a chance it changed centrally but at least you'll be heard.
Just an idea!
