A thread for members in South Cambridgeshire to organise meet ups and discuss other things we can do locally to spread awareness.
I quite like the idea of coordinating maskless shopping (Ann Widdecombe suggested this I think - she was trending on twitter and being ridiculed for it the other day). I don't normally do the shopping, my wife does it, and I haven't gone out of my way yet to go shopping just for the sake of not wearing a mask while doing it. I've been to my local coop on the first day of mandatory masks and didn't wear a mask and there was no issue. I think just carrying on as normal is as good as anything as creating a time slot might lead to some confrontation or enforcement, whereas just carrying on as normal individuals going about their business is much more difficult to control. If someone else organises a countrywide timeslot though and it gets enough traction on social media I probably would come along for the ride and to show my support :)
What were we thinking in terms of a get together? How about a mass (sans mask) shop in Tesco? ;)
