I'm in Croydon so I'd be happy to get involved with activities in Greenwich or around London.
I'm in the south-east, but see also this thread on a possible meet-up in North London: https://www.keepbritainfree.com/forum/kbf-south/north-london
Hey I live in Plumstead which is in the Greenwich area would be happy to meet up there perhaps even Greenwich park might be nice place to meet up really want to share ideas ad thoughts
While we're still very small in number, would it be an idea just to have one London area group, meeting centrally, until our numbers grow and having separate groups for north/south/east/west becomes feasible. I'll be busy trying to kick-start the Surrey group so I'll leave it to one of you to approach the North/West London people and make any moves from there.
Would be happy to meet up somewhere centrally in London on a weekend if you have a location in mind if not can meet anyone at Greenwich park just keen to get active and involved in this movement an stand up for our rights James
I'm in south east London so happy to meet up.
Not sure if you've met yet...some notes from our experience in the Activism section (currently top of page 2)...well worth setting a date even if some can't make it. https://www.keepbritainfree.com/forum/activism/starting-your-own-local-group
Hi everyone, last Friday I met up with some of the North London people in Finsbury Park. We ended up in a local pub, with no restrictions or social distancing requirements, and had a great time. Since there are still relatively few of us at present, I think we Londoners should be trying to get together in a more central place rather than starting several groups for different areas of the city. It's being discussed in the North London thread as well, so keep an eye on that one.
Brilliant that is refreshing to hear happy to meet up somewhere central want to be around other sane like minded people
I see this is happening in London on Wednesday 19th: https://www.keepbritainfree.com/forum/activism/freedom-fight-for-justice-please-join If anyone can attend that, both north and south Londoners could meet up centrally afterwards. Failing that, I'm in the City for work on Thursday 20th anyway, so I'd be willing to meet then if it suits other people.
Wish I could come to the demo outside the court, but I'll be at work. I could meet people on the Thursday evening as I work in central London. Perhaps you could post this in the North London thread as well, to attract more people?
There's a bigger demo in London planned for Saturday 29th August, starting at Trafalgar Square at 12 noon. It's co-ordinated by Save Our Rights UK, though other groups (including KBF) are involved. There is a *call for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals* to attend, to march to Downing Street.
Hey guys - hoping you can make this - I met up with a few N Londoners recently, it was really good, thought let's try a central London meet:
From 6.30pm on Wed 2 Sep
Victoria Embankment Gardens
Park right next to Embankment tube
WC2N 6NS
Be there for a while and maybe a bit later go for a drink/food, nearby or over the bridge on the South Bank for instance?
Anyone still interested in meeting the South London / Greenwich area still? I'm in south London for the month or so and would prefer to meet locally so I can avoid wearing a face mask on public transit.
Hey I would be interested in meeting when were you thinking I could do Greenwich park as possible place to meet James
I could do next Sunday. The 13th.
Hey there unfortunately already arranged to go for a meal sunday 13th with family
down in Chatham are either of you free the following weekend perhaps instead
Hello all, what are we doing here? I can't make it today but am happy to meet up mid week or next week.
Hey Kemi I would be up for meeting next weekend could do either saturday or sunday at Greenwich Park from a personal point of view I want to be able to perform some of my poems about what is happening as way of expressing how I feel and also to get a message across we could discuss other ideas be nice to forma support group because sometimes i find it hard to be aware of whats going on and difficult being the only one in my family who is refusing some of these enforced rules I defiantly just don't want to allow things to just keep going the way they are James
Apparently there is a protest at Trafalgar Square on Sat 26th Sept - I'll be there!
Great I am going be there also happy to meet beforehand perhaps at charring cross if you want to James
