    Sceptic Poems

    in OTHER

    CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE (Mike Smelt 2020)

At what point do people say enough is enough?

Does life have to get even more rough?

When will the public get out on the streets?

The message is clear from the endless tweets.

The truth is all out there, the charts are clear.

We need to move it up, to the next gear.

We have to get out there in open revolt.

And refuse to do, as we’ve been told.

Our children need to get back to school.

We cannot accept this dictatorial rule.

Something unsavoury is clearly going on.

Our civil liberties have nearly all gone.

Are you really happy to be tracked and traced?

Our way of life completely displaced.

Don’t put that muzzle on your face!

It adds to the fear, a national disgrace.

See your friends, go and mingle.

Have that date, if you’re single.

    Call around, host that party.
