Laugh TwinkleToes! 😂😅
It's all you can do. Oh, and don't forget to stock up on some more loo rolls, now that Mr Hancock has announced a possible 'circuit breaker' lockdown!
Talking of masks! This morning I witnessed a mask wearer step off the pavement onto what is a very busy road at the point of an equally bad corner to let a mother and child continue walking not wearing a mask, I despair and don't know whether to laugh or cry!
Really annoying!! One of the things I dislike most is when they 'neglect' to include 'apart from those who are exempt' in the message :(
curtinj25 - Yes they are annoying. So are the 'keep your distance' signs. There are dozens and dozens of them in our local shopping centre. Very difficult to ignore. I have a 'bloody good rant' everywhere I go. Usually to myself, but fine if anybody else is listening. I very rarely go to the shops or travel on public transport anymore, as I hate looking at the 'masked people'. I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but it does.
Totally agree with you, these needless nannying announcements are extremely patronising and irritating. Every time I go to the supermarket (rarely at the moment) I utter a few expletives when I hear this garbage as I consider it an insult to my (and everyone’s) intelligence. If I never again hear that horrible word COMPLY i will be a happy movie. The only time I will tolerate that word is when i’m watching a Robocop movie, because that’s the dystopian world where that word truly belongs.
Sometimes customers, or staff members will give me funny looks or even say a few words in response to my outbursts but frankly I don’t care, in fact I see it as a badge of honour. It’s better to express yourself verbally than to pick up a drinks bottle and throw it at the tannoy speakers, which I am occasionally tempted to do when I hear this condescending crap blurted out. Maybe the only other solution is to wear earphones and play loud music to block out these insane messages in public places!
