Hi, I posted a message entitled "Very interesting report, if true" a couple of days ago. The message said: "I see that Irish Sunday Times journalist David Quinn has this evening put a message on Twitter to say that a report due out on Monday from @KekstCNCfinds that Britons are overestimating the number of deaths in their country by a factor of....100." I read from this that the official death figures were 100 times too high in The UK, but this is not what David meant nor what the report says. So, sorry if I misled anyone into thinking the same as I thought. The report was published today and it doesn't say that the official figures are wrong, but instead it says that the public "significantly over - estimate the spread and fatality rate of the disease. In Sweden and The UK for example, the public think 6 - 7 % of people have died from corona virus - around one hundred times the actual death rate, based on official figures." So the report is not saying the official figures are wrong and David Quinn was not implying that either. Instead the report is saying that the public perception of the death rate is way above what the actual death rate is based on official figures. Sorry if I implied that this report was questioning the official figures, because it was not. David Quinn's interpretation of the report today is that: "People are massively overestimating the deadliness of the virus. We have created way too much fear ". Here is a link to David's comment on the report today and also some key statements from the report: https://twitter.com/DavQuinn/status/1287687791514722306

People have over estimated .... but ....We have created way too much fear ".
What an interesting situation.....
Why ?
Thanks for the clarification, Patrick. Veritas, where did you get that tabulated data from?
Hi Veritas, Yes I know the figures are too high and have been inflated. But I was just clarifying that is not what this report is claiming. This report doesn't question the authenticity of the figures.
Patrick, no need to apologise - the figures are too high, maybe not 100x but at least 10x. Thank you for clarification.
NHS reported total dying OF Covid (not with, after contracting, after being diagnosed, etc.) has been 1385.
