Brilliant speech by doctor in Dublin

@Sheila Burchell Dear Sheila, unfortunately in Scotland it doesn't look like peope are seeing anything.....

We are just back from a wee break near Oban and the atmosphere there was nothing like we have seen before!!!

Oppression is perhaps the best word to describe it?

Wherelse I have no problems in Edinburgh to walk in and out of food shops without a face mask I was severely challenged whilst on holiday!

I remained polite and said to the sour looking sales woman: "I cannot breathe in a mask. Also, I am NOT sick, I am VERY healthy" - she looked at me with lifeless eyes as if I am mad. Needless to say I was really disturbed by the encounter!

I later found out that the sales woman had just started back at work and is frightened - I guess we have to have compassion for these people too.

I am having a bad day today after being told off by my irish friend and after the tense atmosphere whilst on holiday. I feel we are battling against something so evil, so huge, so controlling, that we may not have a chance anyway. But I don't want to go down without a fight!!

Jacky, yes, we must not forget that some people are genuinely terrified of a virus, thanks to months of

death-**** propaganda but you still have the right to be having a bad day to.

Some days, it just feels like joy has also been a casualty of this 'covid' farce but I'm finding the antidote to that is really trying to appreciate the tiny things of life.

Even a beautiful sunset or looking a the birds or hearing children laughing helps me these days where I would never have noticed such things before?

Having said that and before I sound like Pollyanna, I still want our old normal back, thank you very much!!!!!
