I am pretty sure that the lockdown was actually illegal because they had no evidence to do so usually if you wont to lock someone up you have to prove they commited a crime or harm to another person locking up the elderely and not allowing them to see there granddaughters is fairly inhumane I think there would be a good case to have them brought to trial and prosecuted

Morally you are absolutely right, but the problem comes with legalese and technicalities in court, as i’m sure Simon Dolan has found to his cost. Technically in court can you prove incarceration charges against the government for a building you have chosen to live in and spend at least half of the day inside? Again, morally, it’s indisputable but legally i’m not sure whether it could be proved 100% that we were treated exactly like prisoners. I am by no means a legal expert but I would think that a more winnable case would be to eliminate the legality of police enforcing petty made up rules like only one shopping trip a day, 1 hour for outdoor exercising, only essential car journeys etc. These insane pointless rules should never be allowed to return and a good legal case would certainly be able to prevent this petty intrusion. Unfortunately, banning the lockdown completely is a much larger mountain to climb legally, although I hate lockdowns and would be delighted to be proved wrong.
