I was wandering do you think we have the right to make a complaint against the behaviour of the police on the rally on Saturday from the footage it looked as though there was unprovoked attacks on innocent protestors one man being knocked unconscious who could we write to about that just a thought

AnonomousAmy - Sorry you had a bad day, it does get to you now and again even for the most positive of us. Your children sound lovely and it is them that we have to fight for, oh! boy are we trying but we have such a big hill to climb. I feel change coming but at what cost and I hope tomorrow goes smoothly and no-one gets hurt not only for them but for the worrying time the families back home will have. We have to keep up the pressure because we have too much to lose and demo's are one good way of saying NO. Always remember that we are here when those who think they know it all, but know nothing at all dare to invade your space sometimes with life changing consequences and we will be here with an available shoulder. Take good care, all of you.
AnonomousAmy - By the way I agree with everything you say and I feel that things in lovely Scotland and Aberdeen which I know very well are slightly worse, only slightly, than here. I didn't think this all would come so close to home and I am furious at this government's treatment of our laws in general, dumped and not fit for purpose, its really is time for change. My hopes are pinned on Simon's success on the 29th October, and civil disobedience if Christmas is cancelled, it may be time to turn our fight up to match the tyranny levelled at us by those whose place is nothing less than being brought to justice and to bring back capital punishment
Grumpy C. Sorry my fault>. Kate Sherimani (think that is right) is affiliated to Piers Corbyn's team and Fiona in her PA. Fiona is a friend of my son and was one of those arrested & charged with Piers Corbyn because they were at the first demon at Hyde Park and the court case comes up in December. Fiona (and maybe Kate) are part of the team that are organisers of the rally tomorrow and many of those that have gone before so the police are now targeting them and it is getting nasty. Good luck tomorrow hope you don't have to use your camera except for good thing and stay safe. I am sure you can hold your own.
TwinkleToes - I'm not quite sure who Kate and Fiona are. I'm just off to get my train to London, so I will be off here for a while. I will be taking my trusty little camera with me to film any 'wrongdoing' by the police. I see they are taking a leaf out of Daniel Andrew's book and raiding people's homes now. I didn't think it would take them too long to follow suit with their 'Stasi' tactics. Wish me well on my 'maskless' journey down South. I'll report anything I find on here as soon as. You know anything I say will be direct from the horse's mouth, or in my case the 'cat's mouth'. 😃
To all - Just to let you know that Kate and Fiona were arrested a couple of days ago this time by CID outside Parliament during a very small demonstration and were released last night at 10pm after spending 30 hrs in a cell. Fiona's flat was searched and her computer removed, This news is from the horses mouth once removed. I am not sure at this point what their restrictions will be so will try and keep you posted. As some of you will be going to the demo tomorrow I say to you watch your backs as they are on to the situation and not only police and army may be there but possibly plain clothes officers. If Fiona is able to let you know it will probably be on FB. Take care out there.
@Maria Hannah It might well be, I'm not aware, but be mindful of time limits applicable to private prosecutions, they (the Police) would try to extend their complaint handling and obstruct the process so to see you going over the time limits (I believe 6 months).
We can prosecute the police if we have proof of the incident, a video. Making an official complaint to the police itself, though it may don't work, it is a preliminary procedure that has to take place before prosecution. It is not a waste of time because it is part of the process before prosecution.
@curtinj25 There is no point complaining as the complaint is then looked at by the Police or constable involved itself, so they do everything in their power to dismiss it.
The best option is to immediately bring private prosecution, complaints against the police are waste of time.
Have a look at Ron Warner's website Crime Bodge, you might find some answers:
fantastic I real reporter and journalist at last I do feel their actions were not justified I was there I did see at one point a man being grabbed and being thrown in the first clashes and saw the footage of the police all charging into the crowd towards the end but I left then I felt there behaviour was unprofessional and intimidating
curtinj25 - Anna Brees has been in touch with the Metropolitan Police asking them to justify their actions. She was interviewing one of the protesters on YouTube. I wasn't at the rally, but for those that were and who want to make a complaint, you can do so at the Metropolitan Police Website.
