I was wandering what do protests actually achieve just in terms of changing things I mean they are important to stand up for a cause and bringing people together but each time after these last two rallys the government has then introduced more restrictive measures so they can keep using this as a excuse to bring in new measures
When I was at the last rally I didn't feel totally comfortable and felt there was a bit to much aggression more so from the police but there was also protestors aggravating the situation I suppose I am bit unsure as to whether to go to the next rally
Protests can work is they are a sufficient number of people, like for example ten times that which was in August. If not the lunatics in charge won't care.
I wish I could go but I'm without transport and I don't fancy sitting on the train with all the stares from the compliant zombies.
Register a strong protest with your MP today via email - I sent this to mine as a knee-jerk reaction to Boris today but we have to let them know we oppose it.
I headed it 'Tyrannical dictatorship of a government of occupation. Where is Parliament?'
Dear Layla Moran,
It is fast becoming apparent that we no longer have a sitting Parliament. What we have is a tyrannical dictatorship who intends to command the British army to support the police against any dissent among the British people to policies that have nothing at all to do with health but total repression of all life as we know it.
I would like answers to the following questions with some urgency.
1. Boris talks about 'fire power' while deploying the army - what does that mean?
2. Where is our Monarch in protecting our rights, liberties and freedoms against a runaway government who were once elected to keep the monarch in check? Has she been deposed under the guise of 'caring for her husband' because she has all manner of professional help to attend to that duty?
3. Where are our MPs in garnering any form of opposition?
4. Where are you? I have written to you on no less than four occasions, all requesting answers to the questionable policies of this current administration and have not received a reply to any?
5. Where is Covid-19? A pandemic means people will drop dead beside you in the street and no media announcements would be required to let you know that fact. I know of not one person who has contracted it let alone died from it while cancer patients, heart attack victims, elderly vulnerable people have been excluded from treatment as Covid-19 has taken over the NHS with the majority of hospital wards empty while these sufferers are left to die?
It is increasingly becoming apparent that all members of Parliament should resign as it now appears that we have a government of occupation taking instruction from unelected civil servants and untrustworthy scientific studies with absolutely no opposition to all the draconian measures being implemented. There is no law that can force house arrest of healthy people and what started out as a 3-week experiment in March has now progressed to a version of 1930s Germany.
I welcome your comments with some urgency as to when Parliamentarians are going to start to take this government and its pseudo science to task, a vote of no-confidence might be a start?
kind regards
Hi Constance. Nice letter. I sent mine today focusing on my mp voting against the continuation of the Coronavirus Act and standing up against rule by decree. Not going to hold my breath, though, in the hope she is going to do any of those things☹️
Love it I am going to write to my councillors and mps express m disaffection with these bunch of tyrants
Nice one mate. Probably won't achieve anything, but we are running out of options
Good shout, Steve and curtin. Will also follow up with another letter about cancelling the Act.
Hi Constance. Good call. Let us know what happens 😊
