here are some ideas you may find useful.
Stop watching and reading so much legacy media, even if you don't believe what they are saying, they are filling your head with messages to undermine your thoughts and actions under the direction of the government and the Behavioural Insights Team. https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/behavioural-insights-team
Basically, the government is gaslighting you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslighting
Always read or listen to news very carefully and critically, often news articles are not saying what they appear to say.
Always look out for weasel words - A weasel word, or anonymous authority, is an informal term for words and phrases aimed at creating an impression that something specific and meaningful has been said, when in fact only a vague or ambiguous claim has been communicated. Examples include the phrases "some people say", "most people think", and "researchers believe" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weasel_word
You will soon realise that most of the news that appears to be fact is in reality, an opinion, misleading or even downright false.

Do not believe all 'scientific' looking papers or studies on face value, some of these papers or studies are fake, they have the appearance of looking scientific but in fact have not followed the scientific method or are false or even parody papers for the author's own amusement or to test the peer review process, notable examples are 'the Sokal affair' by Alan Sokal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokal_affair
and the 'grievance studies affair' by James A. Lindsay, Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grievance_studies_affair
Even if a paper has passed peer review it does not mean it's true, it just means that a few of the author's peers have agreed with the method and or result, there may be plenty of others that disagree.
In Short, develop and use critical thinking skills when reading or listening to information.
https://www.skillsyouneed.com/learn/critical-thinking.html
Ditch your smartphone, this is gonna be very difficult for some, but you give up so much information about yourself when using a smartphone, it's a distraction device stopping you thinking clearly, all your messages are analysed, not by a human of course, but but a computer algorithm or program, all the data on your phone can be analysed by Google or Apple, you are being tracked everywhere you go.
If you really need a moblie phone use a 'pay as you go' dumb phone, as basic as possible, a burner. (can still be tracked and data analysed, but not as much)
Stop using Google, Bing or Yahoo search engines, all your searches are analysed and the search results are filtered to give you the information they see fit for you to see.
Personally, I use DuckDuckGo https://www.duckduckgo.com
Email - disable 'graphics' or 'external content' to stay invisible, scammers and spammers send you a tiny graphics file that you will not see, but data is sent back to the sender if you have the default 'Show external content' or 'graphics' enabled, letting the sender know your email address is active.
Consider using an encrypted email account, like protonmail for confidential messages, with normal email accounts the messages are can be analysed for content and they can be hacked.
Defund the BBC -Stop paying your TV licence
https://tvlicenceresistance.info/
Step 1 - Cancel your TV licence via this app https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/cs/no-licence-needed/about.app (doesn't always stop the threatmail or goons calling) or Cancel your Direct Debit (I had to after I cancelled via the app)
Step 2 - Ignore all the threatmail (Store them safely in your bin)
Step 3 - Ignore the TV Licencing goons that may call, ignore the knock or just shut the door, do not engage with them, on no account should you use WOIRA - Withdrawal Of Implied Right to Access, this would mark you out for attention, just stay silent and close the door, making you effectively 'invisible'.
Step 4 - Have no contact with BBC, TV Licencing or TV Licencing goons.
Edited to add this...
The most important advice I can give when you cancel your TV licence is, never engage with a TV Licencing goon, they are just sales people working on commission, they have no legal right to enter your home or ask you questions, do not talk to them, never ever sign one of their forms for any reason, if they call, ignore them or just shut the door in their face.
All the best, clownworld
Great stuff Clownworld, critical thinking is as uncommon as common sense in my experience. Keep the faith brother, and don't worry about low hanging fruit, it all tastes just the same. Peace, love and light. LW
Thank you LW,
I think, using the evidence displayed by the general public wearing masks, critical thinking is as rare as hen's teeth...
Does anyone on this forum read legacy or MSM media any more? I suspect not.
Some interesting points. My other suggestion would be to actually read the scientific papers suggested and apply Packett's Levels of Evidence test as to the quality of the findings. Scientific papers can be difficult but, if people don't read the papers, how can they have an opinion?
I think most people in KBF are critical thinkers and that's exactly why they are here.
The advice to ditch our smart mobile phones for dumb phones is interesting, but how many people would be prepared to do that I wonder. Anyone here intending to?
Is your advice to keep one's TV and not pay the licence or to get rid of the TV? If you keep the TV and you are chased for the licence, as will happen, I rather think this, and not answering the door, will bring attention to yourself. Maybe better to ditch your TV and use your computer with a VPN - although it would be very slow.
As I understand it, and I'm no expert as I haven't had a television for twenty odd years, it is watching live TV that makes you liable. So if you're watching box-sets and catch-up TV online you should be in the clear. But please do check that info as I reiterate, I am no expert on TV. There are dozens of online TV services that offer a multitude of channels and content for £5 - £10 a month and are far superior to the biased beeb.
I've never owned a 'smart' phone, always considered them gov't tracking devices since they first appeared and I honestly think that they dumb people down as they fill the time that people would otherwise use to just think about things and process information. So I have a Mac computer at home, a burner phone for mobile which is switched off when it's in my pocket and I'm moving around and a wired landline at home. During the smart phone era I have successfully run two separate companies (small ones) so I don't think they really impact modern life as much as people think, but then I don't do (anti)Social media either. Just my opinion of course.
Peace, love and light. LW
Yes, LightWarrior, I believe you are correct, you can have your house filled with TVs and all powered up as that is legal, what is not legal is watching or recording TV programmes on any device not just a TV, at the time they are being broadcast (live), however you omitted one important point, that is watching or downloading BBC iPlayer, live or catch-up is also illegal without a TV licence. https://www.gov.uk/tv-licence
You can watch all the other catch-up TV and streaming services except BBC iPlayer without a TV licence.
You do not need a licence to listen to radio including BBC Radio or listen to and download BBC iPlayer Radio and BBC Sounds. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/questions/about-bbc-iplayer-and-our-policies/radio-tv-licence
I hope that helps.
All the best, clownworld 🤡
@LightWarrior11:11 What's a "burner phone"?. Thanks.
Brilliant post clownworld, sincere thanks for the time and effort in compiling it. Much appreciated..
Instructive post, well done. I tick all those boxes, the big one is a private email account, gmail/hotmail and free mail service will be gathering all your information that's how they make their profit, nothing is free in this world, private mail is not that expensive, some you can download to your desktop. I do have gmal/hotmail, they are my throw away accounts. Anyone use skype?, are you aware that if you delete your skype account you lose its associated G&Hotmail email address, micrsoft has tied everything down.

Anyone use Ubuntu Desktop, I want to dump windows.
I would love to dump Windows too, but unfortunately I have to use it as some software I use is Windows only.
There are ways to minimise the crap.
You can debloat Windows 10 with this... https://github.com/Sycnex/Windows10Debloater

The most user friendly, stable, Linux distro is probably Mint, several flavours, Cinnamon is my goto, a bit boring for bleeding edge types, but it just works.

I also use Peppermint OS on older machines, nice, lightweight and stable.

DuckDuckgo; Affiliated with Amazon and Ebay, uses Amazon servers, as of 28 Jan, more info here; https://restoreprivacy.com/private-search-engine/
A useful assemblage here. Thanks Clownworld, though I feel duty bound to mention that Wikipedia is hardly a reliable source of information.
