I know everyone on this website is aware and switched on about the terrible tyranny we’re being told to put up with. I just wanted to issue a plea to everyone to not let this twilight zone situation make you too angry or depressed, despite the overwhelming temptation to lash out. Just keep living your life as much as you possibly can and ignore the destructive atmos-fear all around you. Take as many walks as possible to build up your immune system, especially from Thursday onwards when nothing worthwhile is taking place. Keep up with and add important hobbies (ie. mass protests) to pass the time and don’t obsess over the insanity we are fighting against from people or things that we can’t control. Try to get plenty of sleep so we can wake up refreshed and with a clear conscience, safe in the knowledge that we are the good guys and that the evil bastards responsible for this carnage will suffer their fate sooner or later. Don’t let the crazy out of touch fearmongers drag us down to their level!
So true thank you. It is a sad thing seeing business destroyed by the wicked
Yes, all that sounds good and it is exactly what Ihave been doing, but do you think all of these alone is going to do any good for the majority of the country ? I think we have to do a bit more than that. We have to stop being narcisist in order to wake people up. We need them as much as they need us in order to win this war that we refuse to fight. Believe me, you won't be a winner looking after yourself alone and ignoring the obvious.
Well said Mark. "tis better to light a candle than to curse in the darkness".
Or with apologies to Gandhi, let's "be the change that we want to see" in our fellow citizens.
Mark - Easier said than done. Sanity went out of the window a long time ago. But saying that, here's my answer to Boris's house arrest, which we don't know the exact details of yet: Whatever the Government tell us not to do, I will do more of, be it daily exercise, going to whatever shops are open, using the buses and trains. If I usually spend half an hour in the supermarket, I'll spend an hour browsing. Contrary to your belief Mr Johnson, I am a free person, and I'm going to make the most of it these next 4 weeks!
Hesr hear!🙌
Me too we need to have courage and support our community by showing up and letting people see Boris is imprisoning innocent people
Good grounding advice. Self care & positivity is all important💓
