The head of my local senior school, Denis Oliver, has decreed that from September all pupils must wear masks at all times inside school buildings, including classrooms and corridors. Behavioural conditioning will be applied.
Gavin Williamson has responded: "The Department for Education's guidance is clear that children are not expected to wear face coverings in schools."
Let's see whether or not the headmaster does a u-turn. I say he will... when half the children don't show up on day one and he's taken a load of flak... but of course there'll be some mealy-mouthed excuse, I'll put my mortgage on it.
Here is a petition to sign. The health issues of forcing children to wear masks all day are mind boggling:
I am outraged by any suggestion that school age children would be required to wear masks. I work in education and i'll have to give up my job if this happened and i was asked to do the same. I have a Science degree and know that doing this for prolonged periods is not a good idea at all. I will not endanger my health or take part in doing it to others. I wish someone could tell me what this is really all about because none of it makes sense to me. I spend long hours trying to figure it out and don't understand why so many people can't see what's happening to the world. From the start it has been an outrageous overreaction with sinister overtones. Happy to find like minded people on this forum. My father fought to free this country from prospective tyranny and now we face one that is homegrown.Unbelievable!
Just had the policy from my kids primary school. Greatly relieved, drafted by a fine diplomat but in the scheme of things child focused. I sense that they are getting some kick back from teachers. They didn't go into teaching to abuse kids, their inner humanity is over riding the mind control
I am sure that there will be some resistance. I don't have a child at the senior school but the primary school opened for the final five weeks of term and my eldest went back along with around half of his class.
I suspect the parents of the half that didn't go back are the mask crazies. I therefore predict that what will happen is the children of the mask crazies will go back only for the school to see the other half to refuse to attend. I certainly wouldn't be sending my child back and I'd be telling the Head in no uncertain terms why.
What concerns me here is the possible unilateral actions of the Head and the 'support' they will predictably receive from the authorities when they get challenged. I don't believe this follows local authority guidance, and in fact the primary school explicitly states that PPE will not be used, but you can bet whose side they'll be on when it comes down to it, along with the 'Common Purpose' policemen (or police-persons for the easily offended).
I need to look more into the legality of it all.
I wonder what the parents will do
This is child abuse, will they stand back and allow their kids to be abused. See if you can get done mothers together, get them angry, challenge them to prove they are good caring and loving parents. No good parent will allow their children to be abused
Can you raise the issue with other parents and try and form a protest group with them?
