Training was the only thing that helped with my depression and panic attacks in the past few years. It also helped with physical pain and blood pressure. The decision of Nicola Sturgeon to keep the gyms open is disgusting. I swear that woman is demonic, and the people who support her or tell me "stop whining you can workout at home" (BTW you can't unless you have a home gym) are probably the same ones who queued like drug addicts as soon as the pubs opened.
My mental health and back problems deteriorated in the last 5 months with lockdown and gyms being shut. I also believe that it's time for business owners to say ENOUGH
Hello Raimond, I am in the same boat. I have fought stress and depression with my gym succesfully for years - never needed medication, the gym was my medication.
The last week before lockdown I was in there every day and I cried in my last fitness class. To be honest, at the time I thought it would just be a matter of weeks.... Never in the world would I have thought that the gyms would STILL be shut in August!!!
Nicola Sturgeon has blood on her hands. She has caused so much damage to people's mental health and she doesn't care.
I know that our local mental health hospital is full, they don't have enough beds. It breaks my heart that mental health has been so neglected.
I have managed to keep fit during lockdown but interestingly I suffered many injuries because my body has weakend from not going to the gym. And it's not just the gym is it, it's all the people in there, the fun and the laughter and the community.
Please open the gyms in Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!!
