The U.K. Government is facing Judicial Review in the High Court of Justice because The Mental Health Act in the U.K. (England) was changed to allow 1 person to sign off on detaining a person and possibly medicating for weeks at a time! This leads to the patient's will being over-ruled and that person being detained without a second opinion. The Government is also being accused of scaring the public intentionally, causing harm. The Government have until 04 August 2020 to outline their claim.
Case Ref: CO/2532/2020

The change actually comes from part of the 'Coronavirus Act 2020'. The UK Government decided that it would be okay to lock up people with mental health conditions instead of finding ways to help. Here is a link to the Government's response to my letter :- Link to Government response about Mental Health Act
The Government have until 11 August to reply to my Grounds for Application which have been sent to the High Court. You can find a copy of my Grounds for Application here :- Link to Grounds sent to the Court
I have supporting, signed, statements from the public [including from a care worker] and more on the way. Tahir Ali MP (Birmingham) has expressed his interest in the case and will be following it carefully.
The public of England does not consent to 1 person having authority to detain another person.
