I had an appointment yesterday at my local hospital. I have an exemption lanyard and thankfully they didn't question it. They were however, very insistent on the hand sanitizer usage, I got asked probably 4 times by different people. The receptionist gave the best reply when asked what were the exact ingredients, her reply was "alcohol and stuff to sanitze your hands". She didn't know what to say when i politely declined saying that i wasn't putting unknown chemicals onto my hands. fast forward to the appointment and again the lady (in full hazmat suit, muzzle, gloves and welders mask) asked to sanitize my hands, when asked what exactly what was in it she petulantly sighed and then told me to keep my distance pretty rudely. i have very dry, sore hands at this time of year and it takes literally gallons of moisturizer to keep them from drying and cracking up, leaving them painfull and essentially lumps of useless meat on the end of my arms. I am damned if i will exacerebate the issue with constant applying of cheap chemicals. Amusingly, much like everywhere else, the bottles of random sanitizer themselves are never cleaned, meaning possibly thousands of people have handled them. And yet the covanatics don't seem to grasp this fact, probably because the TV hasn't told them this fact yet

be aware that some "people" take great exception to be asked questions they don't know the answer too, especially when it shows their lack of intelligence for what it is. But it is well worth it just to see some of the reactions/answers you get. You could go one further and ask if the chemicals have been risk assessed, which as we know, most modern organisations are paranoid about. :-). Plus its a good point about killing good bacteria on our hands
Hand sanitisers have ingredients to kill bacteria. The bacteria they kill are not those you'd want them to kill and bacteria aren't viruses. I don't want to use sanitisers either, so sometimes go through the motions of pretending to use them. I will ask in future about the ingredients..... I am 'allergic' to putting cheap or unknown chemicals on my hands !!😀
