Just read Boris is drafting in army to assist Police against resisters. Are we now in the martial law stage?
I fear for the protestors next weekend, and ourselves.

V V Like everything else in these times things have changed including Policing in this country. Years ago I was married to a Police officer serving out of N division
in North London. Recruiting in those days was mainly targeted to the Scots because of their height as police were considered to gain respect from the public when they were looked up to, to make eye contact. Small point but proved to work, now height is not a stipulation to join and that respect has gone. Don't get me wrong they had other problems to deal with on the inside, introduction into the force of women officers took time to infiltrate a very male macho world,
and a true portrait was acted out in a series called Life on Mars (I think I have that right). A massive presence on the streets for those times helped maintain a good relationship with their public interacting and making them feel safe, I haven't experienced that in years. Our world has become more violent and we don't
know what the word discipline means, social media is aggressive and it can only get worse. Me, myself and I is the new normal and portrays a very selfish attitude to those out there, and you now see how when present in those that gain power and position how it can manifest itself and those of us who don't operate that way are left to try and pick up the mess. I had a lot of respect for the way my husband and colleagues of the time went about policing and what is happening now would be totally unrecognisable to them. Not wishing to put them on too high a pedestal as they had their moments, leadership is what matters and Cressida Dick would not have been a consideration then let alone be in a position to be in the top job at Scotland Yard as she comes with so much baggage.

What a pity Simon's Judicial Review wasn't heard on the 23rd, clever tactics by this government, I thought they were up to something. Mind you when are they not ever plotting the next move. I often wonder if the army when really compromised would come over to our side. Those amongst us who are using this forum or are in any way connected may like to make contact with answers.
Alot are baying for blood. Shower of cunts. Those who aren't will hopefully take a stand and remove them selves. But I would like our military and police to question why they being forced to take action against law abiding citizens heavier than they ever go on actual criminals.

@AutonomousAmy This government's inner cell is determined to win this at all cost and will pull out all the stops to prevent us getting the upper hand as they now have an idea that they are losing the support of the people and that spells trouble. Find a way to crack that nut which is the inner circle of power and evil driving this agenda and what comes after will be down to us, the people to win the day, and it is looking more and more likely as the days go by. I saw somewhere that the army are the property of the people and not the Government (correct me if I am wrong) which poses the questions of where their loyalties should lie. Bottom line is that it depends how strongly you feel about what is coming and how prepared you are to take risks to stop its advance, and there are brave people who will go that extra mile. It shouldn't deter us from carrying through with our determination to stand up and be counted but to take care when you are out there trying to get your point across. Governments play dirty all the time it goes with the territory, they call their greed perks, we call it fiddling expenses and now they are playing for bigger stakes and that is too good a prize to lose. Can't wait to see them squirm Hancock is already feeling the strain and its beginning to show across a few of the key players, good!!

@AutonomousAmy Keep pushing hard and we may get lucky, save us the job of clearing up.
