Over the last few months, we stopped using Tesco for our weekly shop: silly little arrows everywhere (which I ignored, much to the angst of Mrs UKFM,) queueing, authoritarian little Hitlers in hi vis vests giving curt 'orders' etc., etc.
So we tried Morrisons at Elland. And there we found a much more relaxed experience. One Asian looking bloke at the bottom of the travelator, always friendly, waving us in with a smile, no objections at all to my refusal to wear the face nappy last week, not quite the range of stock at Tesco's but for the very few items we were unable to get, not really a problem. We did our shopping early (7.30am) and the place was quiet.
This morning - everything had changed: Travelator entrance blocked off, sheep pen type barriers at the opposite entrance, about fifteen sheep in the queue, friendly Asian security man no longer friendly, now wearing Hi-Vis vest with thumbs in armholes, Nazi cop style. Asked other people in the queue what's going on... dumb silence. No one had any idea; just standing there, masked (we weren't even in the damned shop yet for Christ's sake,) like obedient sheep. Mrs UKFM was going to wait but I started kicking off. "Why are you all standing here?" I asked. No reply; not a bloody word. I didn't ask 'friendly' security guard but I'd asked loud enough for him to hear. When I caught his eye, he looked away. It seemed as if there'd been some directive to the effect that people are becoming too relaxed - let's keep them subdued. I continued with the protest. Mrs UKFM could see there was going to be a scene so when I said "Look, I've had enough of this bullshit, I'm off," she didn't argue. We came home. I looked at the list we'd made out - there is nothing we need desperately. So - Monday, we'll try Sainsburys.
Has anyone else had a similar experience in West Yorks/East Lancs/Greater Manchester since Wankcock exercised his 'power' and introduced further restrictions on Thursday via twitter (no doubt after a couple of bottles of wine,) ?
By the way - I think KBF's website is being deliberately tampered with. Any replies to posts get notified - but pressing the link gives a 404 page not found. If anyone has anything to add to this - since I won't see a reply - please email me at either

It's amazing how quickly these shops have forgotten we're their customers and the reason they're in business.
I have shopped in Aldis, Tesco and Spar without any problems, although on each occasion I was the only one not wearing a mask. Just as a note, if you are asked you can state you are exempt, there is NO LEGISLATION requiring that you prove exemption. Most a shop can do is ask you to leave. More people need to man up and stop wearing these face nappies, I am a woman and looking at grown men in these things is disgusting..bunch of pussies.

Yes, for the things we couldn't get in Morrisons, we've nipped into Sainsbury's - me maskless; missus sheeplike, and apart from having to use the automatic tills because the others are not accepting cash, never had a problem.... yet. We'll see on Monday.
We need to remember which companies treated us like human beings rather than plague ridden biohazards. Boycott the latter forever. After my experience in Morrisons and aldi I will never shop there again. Sainsbury however in my experience have been excellent
