We were recently asked to wear masks in the playground at my sons school. Bearing in mind we are at staggered start times, 2 meters apart on lines, outside. This is ridiculous. I wrote a letter of complain about it, and am posting it here incase anyone wants to do the same and needs inspiration. It probably won’t do any good but we must speak out about this madness

Excellent letter! Did you get a response from the school? One of my local schools has been bleating on about this for weeks, and now sent a letter threatening non-access to the premises unless masked up. I'm sure they would not have a legal right to carry out this threat...?
Great letter. Our school hasn't implemented this (yet?) but I have already made my feelings very clear about guidance not damaging our kids and going against decades (centuries, millenni even) of child evolutionary development . Ive had a back and forth with one but they backed down and while i pick my battles (sectioned playground for diff classes -not great but ok il let slide cos the kids still playing with their whole class) i go in like a shot wit things I'm wholly against for detrimental to kids wellbeing and future psychological/educational outcomes . If they try and introduce masks at school/parental and child masks then *roll up sleeves time*, il be making my feelings known and armed with child development peer reviewed journals and using gov own guidance agains them. Teachers are on whole doing great job but there is always one or two nasty power tripping dogmatic zealots floating about waiting for an opportunity to stick it to the parents. They need swiftly and sharply put back in place and then the can simmer til next opportunity presents itself haha. I'm sure you won't, but don't let them fob you off keep digging in those heels and in meantime peaceful non compliance when on the grounds show you mean business.I can falter on alot of things but when it comes to my kids it's best not to cross me 👍 good luck! Xx
Thank you so much for posting your letter, I have recently been told my son's nursery that they will likely implement the same - the nursery teacher said "It's just common sense" - which, as far as I can tell means "It's not evidence-based". Reading your letter I think I may reconsider the response I was planning, I was going to go for a more angry tone, and say that if they went ahead I would take him out of nursery (I have been considering this anyway, I feel very nervous about having him in the care of the state during the day...). But I think your letter is more constructive, so I think I will follow suit. Please update us when you receive a response. Thanks a lot.
Making children wear masks in the fresh air! Whatever next. This madness never ceases to amaze me. Good luck with your letter.

Amazing letter. Everyone who cares about the emotional happiness of their children should be writing to their schools. I know I would be. My children are grown up but I am now witnessing the horror of what is going on in my grandchildrens school. My grandson was recently told off for touching his best friend. I am proud of my granddaughter though. She was in trouble for shouting in frustration."This frigging virus !". Brilliant. A future rebel I hope.
I find it heartbreaking to witness masked parents leading their children around in masks. It's horrific and heartbreaking. These children will be affected by this madness.Afraid of life.Afraid every time someone sneezes near them.Their spirits crushed. It is tantamount to a crime against humanity.
Well done. A brilliant and well researched and letter .Parents need to question and rebel against this madness. Now.
Excellent letter. I could not agree more. Masks are sinister, unhealthy and strip one of one's identity. There is a reason that robbers wear them - it's not just to conceal their identity, it is also to intimidate their victims. I do not think anyone considers the impact of wearing a mask. They're used to oppress and silence the wearer; brainwash them into obedience (witness the daily Covid Death March and the shuffling Cover Hunched in the supermarkets). Also they make the wearer stupid and dozy because of the lack of oxygen. Good luck with the letter.
